First stop: 791 Wymount Terrace, June 2005. I loved living here so much that I cried when we decided to leave.
Next, Deseret Towers, T Hall, June 2006. DT was a big part of my BYU experience. I loved it. I get teary when I go back to where it was. Can you blame me? Paul and I first met (on our blind date) at DT. T Hall was Benjamin's first home. I only wish I could explain the many, many reasons why Desert Towers has a special place in my heart.
(Okay, I don't really miss the mini-kitchen with no counters.)
(Or this wallpaper.)
In August of 2007 we moved into Wyview and shared a building with freshman boys. Interesting experience, to say the least.
Then in July of 2008 we left our BYU home for a new one in Bellingham, Washington. This house on Cherrywood Ave. was a great place for us.
In June of 2009 we packed up again and moved to Juneau, Alaska. This single-wide trailer is probably the least-favorite place I've ever lived, even when counting the home I stayed in in rural Honduras with no electricity or modern plumbing.
After Juneau we moved back to the Cherrywood house, and then in April of 2010 we purchased our first home in Lynden, Washington.
So after six moves in less than six years of marriage, wouldn't it be appropriate to continue the trend?
Next stop: Ketchikan, Alaska, sometime around April 1, 2011. And this time it's not just for the summer.
We are now accepting guesses for how close to that date our baby will be born. We'll talk about good (bad?) timing later.
*EDIT* Since someone asked I thought I'd clarify: It's not a permanent move (thank goodness). It should be for about one year. We're not selling the house, but we ARE looking for renters! Any takers?

Oh, wow!!!! Congratulations!!! I've heard Ketchikan is beautiful. I have family that has lived in Seward, Kodiak, and Anchorage (although I realize all of those are pretty far from Ketchikan), and they loved it!
I'm guessing you'll be early this time, so... 3 weeks before you move?? No matter when she comes, moving that pregnant (or with a newborn) is not much fun. Good luck!
That is a LOT of moving! Every summer for 6 years--yikes! I absolutely despise moving.
And Alaska! Wow! I just googled it to see where Ketchikan was. It looks like it'll be gorgeous! And it's pretty south, so that's good. How exciting!
And seriously, I hope things work out with the baby. I still tell friends about my friend who had to go through labor on her own because they were in the middle of a move. Sheesh!
Well- you guys keep things interesting! That will be exciting for you- and that is a beautiful part of Alaska, or so I've heard :D Hopefully you'll be early!
@Lisa- don't go scaring people with labor horror story like that! haha
Sounds a LOT like my family! My mom had to move (basically by herself) with a 3-week old me. fun times. They've now been married 26 years and have moved 18 times. Including several cross country moves. :o)
I wish you guys the best of luck! Alaska is so pretty and I am very jealous! I'm going to guess that you'll have a two week old baby when you move. :o) Best of luck!
Wow. I don't envy that. But you're a lot more laid-back than I am.
I don't believe it! Again? I need more expansion on how long please. Permenantly? Are you selling your home?
Holy Cow! That post was impressive enough before the bombshell at the end! I can't believe you are going back to Alaska! Hopefully you will have nicer diggs than last time... and I am so happy to hear you get to keep your home! What an adventure!
I can't wait to hear more about all your plans, especially surrounding the babies birth!
Funny, we have moved every year, too. I can't wait for the day when when we will settled, but then again, I will probably get bored. :)
That's crazy timing for you guys, though! I hope everything goes well. I am so glad to hear you are not leaving WA permanently. (I know, we're not even there, but it really is the best place ever.)
Why do you like to time moves near when your kids are due?
