Sharing, April 18, 2011

You may remember that Rhett likes to share.  This time I think it was a cookie that Rhett was so generously sharing with his sister.

Easter Egg Hunt, April 9, 2011

Our whole family enjoyed a fun Easter egg hunt hosted by our friends John and Misha Young to celebrate their younger son's first birthday.  (Benjamin and their older son, Caleb, are good buddies.)  Several other friends from our ward attended as well.  The egg hunt took place in the community garden near the Youngs' home, and afterward we had a delicious lunch and birthday cake while the kids played.

Visitors

A few weeks after Lucy was born we had Grandma Key come to visit (and I think it was raining the whole time so we didn't do anything picture-worthy).

And at the beginning of April Grandpa Duersch had some business in Vancouver, B.C., so he came down to stay for a night with us.

A New Back Door (and back to blogging)

The past four months have been my biggest blogging/journaling/family record-keeping failure ever, I think.  Whenever one of my friends goes months without blogging, I tend to think something is wrong.  In my case nothing was wrong other than being busy and having a hard time summoning up the energy to download/upload photos and write something meaningful and/or witty.  So now I'm trying to pick up where I left off.

Two days after Lucy was born this happened:

A closer look:

So the following Monday the whole family trooped over to Lowe's to buy a new door, and sometime after that Paul (with two little helpers) installed it.

We had been planning to put in French doors eventually, just not right at that time.  That's just how life goes sometimes, I guess.
